A Halloween card I made this morning...

I've decided to get into swapping. I joined a Halloween card swap and this is what I designed. I hope my partner likes it.

Finding Joy In New Crafts
I have recently discovered that I also enjoy making paper crafts such as friendship books, decos, crams, slams, artist trading cards and homemade cards. I knew that I'd enjoyed doing some of these years ago but that was at a different stage in my life. Now I'm finding myself enjoying these things again. I think the reason behind this is that I love to draw and, if I may say so myself, I am actually pretty good at it. Since these things allow for me to draw, I'm enjoying them too. I'm actually even thinking of starting to make and sell homemade cards on Etsy. I might even do some drawings for on there too. Seems that I'm finding more to do and now I just need to make more time to do it. Needlepoint fits nicely and neatly into my purse so that I can do it while waiting on my daughter but now I'm trying to find a way to fit drawing in too. Wish me luck!

Finding time to stitch
I seem to find brief moments of time to work on my needlepoint anymore. It's difficult to find extended amounts of time. That's why I've been carrying it around with me, in my purse, wherever we go. I am passionate about it but yet this passion simply doesn't seem to fit into my schedule. I'm wondering who else has found it to be this way and how you make time for your passion?

Panda work :-)

OK, as I've said before, I can't simply concentrate on just one needlepoint project at a time, so I decided to start working on this one while at a church Bible study the other night. It is interesting to say the least. First of all, I've never worked on something where you had to punch out a ton of pieces: 11 to be exact. Now I thought that this would be color stamped on the material like most other needlepoint is but not in this case... It's counted. Not that I'm complaining but this is definitely going to be one of those projects that stretches my needlepointing skills. If anyone has ever done a project like this and has any tips for me, I'd sure appreciate them.

Good thing I enjoy doing cross stitch too!

I was making a few purchases on eBay and found this listed under "needlepoint." Being the bargain hunter that I am and seeing it was so inexpensive, I bought it without any hesitation. After all, look at how cute it is.
Well, it arrived in the mail today and obviously someone doesn't know the difference between cross stitch and needlepoint...
This is cross stitch and COUNTED cross stitch at that!
Thankfully, I know how to do it. I don't like it nearly as much as needlepoint but I plan on doing this as I know who I'm going to gift it to and when. This won't be an Etsy creation because it'll take me too much time and work for that LOL

An enjoyable weekend
I spent the 2 of the 3 days of the Labor Day holiday weekend over at my parents. I didn't take anything with me but my needlepoint and a book that I've been reading. My parents have a nice, shaded porch and spend a lot of time outdoors on it. This gave me a lot of time to do needlepoint this weekend since I don't like to sit around and do nothing. I worked on one of the designs that I haven't yet been able to post on here but it's the biggest project that I am working on right now. It's a cat outdoors in flowers and I think it's going to be really beautiful when it's done. What type of needlepoint project are you currently working on?
